Is Cancer Action affiliated with national organizations? 

• No, Cancer Action is not affiliated with any national cancer organizations. We are a local non-profit serving cancer patients and their families in the Kansas City metro area.  Every dollar given to Cancer Action stays right here in our community helping our family, friends and neighbors!

How will my donation be used? 

• Cancer Action has a number of program and services to support cancer patients and their families.  You can click on our Program Services to see what your money helps provide.  We are proud that approximately 88 cents of every dollar goes to direct client services.

Where should I mail donation checks? 

• All donations can be mailed to Cancer Action, 10520 Barkley Suite 100, Overland Park, KS  66212  

 

Who should donation checks be made out to? 

• Please make all checks payable to: Cancer Action.   

 
Are donations tax deductible? 

• All monetary donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Do all donations receive a receipt? 

• Any donor who makes a donation and has provided their address will receive a receipt (thank you letter) once the donation has been processed.

How is a notification made to the family for a donation that was made in honor/memory of someone? 

• If your donation was made in honor or in memory of someone, and you wish us to send an acknowledgment to the family, be sure to include the name of the person you are making the gift in memory of and names and addresses of the family member.

Can I give stock as a donation? 

• Yes. Cancer Action accepts donations of stock. To make a donation of stock, please contact the Executive Director at 913-642-8885 

 
Who do I speak to about putting Cancer Action in my will? 

• If you would like to remember Cancer Action in your estate planning, please call the Executive Director (913-642-8885) as well as speak to your attorney or financial planner.
