Individual Support One-on-one emotional support, guidance, education and case management is provided to all clients registered through Cancer Action by caring professional staff. Emotional support is also available for the family and friends.
Wellness Programs A variety of classes including movement classes, art, journaling, comfort massage and other complementary approaches to care will be offered to help reduce stress and aid in dealing with the physical and emotional impact of cancer, its treatment and recovery. Educational Resource Library The Educational Resource Library at each of the Cancer Action offices is a helpful resource for people seeking more information about cancer at every stage; from initial diagnosis, through treatment and survivorship. The library includes books, magazines, pamphlets, videos, audio CDs and internet access.
Educational Programs Throughout the year, various workshops and educational sessions are presented in the offices and throughout the community on various topics related to cancer treatment, coping and psychosocial care to enhance quality of life at any stage of recovery. Support Groups Support Groups are offered at each location to provide a safe place to discuss emotional, social and physical issues that impact the life of persons coping with cancer.
